Rift series. Lithographic Prints

This project consists of a series of lithographic prints, printed directly from stone on the same paper format, 50 × 65 cm (BFK Rives 250 g). Rather than being produced as a traditional edition, the prints are conceived as a sequence of unique variations, where the edition emerges as the sum of individual works.

The motifs are drawn by hand using a simple brush and lithographic tusche, applied as washes directly onto the stones (approx. 43 × 54 cm). The prints are initially pulled in black and halftones—areas that are technically difficult to control—and subsequently printed in different color tones, either singly or layered in various combinations.

Working with abstraction, the images unfold between drawing and image, allowing technical constraints and serial processes to generate both structure and unpredictability. Individual prints can stand alone, yet together form a collective, evolving expression.

These lithographic works were wholly produced by the artist at SVFK – Danish Art Workshops.
