KREDSLØB / CYCLE

The approach is abstract; the works are not representations of anything recognizable, but rather function as open spaces in which viewers can reflect themselves.

Another important thread in the practice is the connection between the analog and the digital, working with digital imaging and large format printing as an extension of painterly investigation without compromising tactility and craftsmanship.

The works revolve around transformation - in the material as well as in the view with which they are encountered. It is this interaction between sensation, materiality and movement that is emphasized in the works.

The works are based on the handmade - in the encounter between body and material - where colors, lines and shapes are created through a physical presence in the world. Movement is created through repetition, rhythmic structures and unfolds in organic compositions inspired by natural phenomena - cycles, currents and transformations - translated into fluid forms and layered surfaces.
