Stream & Tide

Archival pigment prints

These works extend ideas developed in earlier paintings through a different process.

The paintings become source material rather than works to be reproduced. Instead of preserving the original image, the process transforms their visual energy into new relationships, rhythms and spatial structures, allowing each composition to emerge as an independent work.

Tide

Forms appear, recede and reconnect in layered rhythms. The image remains open, allowing different spatial interpretations to coexist.

Stream

Visual energy gathers into flowing structures that continually shift between order and openness. The image emerges through movement rather than description.

About the prints

The works on this page are archival pigment prints produced at Fluxprint, founded by the artist in 2002.

An archival pigment print is a museum-quality print made with pigment-based inks on archival fine art paper. These works are printed on Canson Rag Photographique II, a 100% cotton paper (310 gsm) designed to meet high standards of image quality and long-term stability. The combination of pigment inks and acid-free cotton paper provides tonal depth, colour accuracy and archival permanence.

These prints are not reproductions of existing artworks. They are conceived specifically for the print medium and developed as independent works. Each print is produced by the artist, who controls every stage of the process—from image preparation and colour management to the final print. The print is the work itself.

For more than two decades, Fluxprint has specialised in archival pigment printing, collaborating with artists, photographers and museums. The technical expertise developed through this practice forms an integral part of Bjarne Werner Sørensen's artistic practice.
